June Fashion Edit: 5 Versatile Pieces to Make a Statement

Here in Melbourne June has brought a return to some normalcy—a return to having reasons to wear actual clothes again (or maybe I’m a little sick of sweats). This month I'm building my looks around these super versatile 5 items —pared with basics most of us already have in our wardrobes.

Faux Leather Shacket

It's warmer than you think and goes with more items than you expect—I love this jacket paired with denim or dresses. The classic cut makes it a pretty universal piece, while the texture gives it that edge —this is precisely what I look for in a piece I'm planning on styling with basics.

Houndstooth Coat

I've already talked about this one—this Zara coat has really been my go to for those colder evening and almost frosty mornings. Two weeks later and I can confirm I'm getting a ton of wear out of this one.

Vintage Leather Mini Skirt

This one I found at the Lost and Found Market in Fitzroy a few years back and will be holding onto for a long time. This is probably the best leather skirt I've ever come across—one of those pieces I feel super edgy in + it's very easy to style with basics.

Combat Boots

I bought these from Zara a few months back and have been shamelessly pairing these with almost every outfit - from sweats to suits. The platform gives me some extra height while the chunkiness gives every outfit a modern edge. By now we all no that chunky boots are not a trend piece—they are here to stay which is why I happily invested into these.

I’m loving that cardigans are back— worn with dresses, jeans or trousers, they are the easiest and the coziest winter staple that will transition all the way through to those cooler summer nights. Did I already mention that its incredibly cozy?
