Melbourne is finally coming out of 100+ days of lockdown; I am excited to dress up again and may have bough a few pieces. Here are the pieces making up my perfect spring wardrobe.

Knitted Vest

Anything knitted is absolutely perfect for the tempermentail Melbourne spring, but I also know that I will be playing with textures and fabrics and wearing it long into the summer months. I can see myself wearing this vest with denim, linen trousers or a silk slip skirt—perfect for both business and casual looks. I absolutely love this very wearable 2020 fashion trend.

Wide leg denim

There was a time when I didn’t think I would venture out away from my vintage mum jeans, but then this wide leg denim trend came around and I reconsidered my position. While the jeans still have that perfect vintage feel and thick cotton denim, they also look perfectly laid back, are high waisted and, with a small heel, can make your legs look super long — the textbook recipe for a denim trend that is here to stay.

I have linked similar jeans here.

The perfect vintage bag

Having a little too much time at home during lockdown meant that I spent a lot more time looking at vintage bags. Although, some days I believe that you do not find a vintage bag, the bag finds you. Nonetheless, meet my new love, this vintage Dior saddle bag.

Basically anything with cords

As a big lover of vintage fashion, anything that has that perfect 90s x Christopher Ebser vibe will be my go to this summer. Sometimes you really love a trend and need that I trend pieces to feel super cool — luckily Zara had this very similar top at a much lower price.

Heeled flip flops

I’m in love with the ugly sandal trend; my boyfriend — not so much. Nonetheless, these little beauties from Alias Mae will be getting a lot of wear this summer perfect with both casual and slightly more dressed up outfits.

I have linked the shoes here.

Chunky hoops

I’ve always loved hoop earings and I’m so happy this jewellery trend is not going anywhere any time soon — I know I will be holding onto to these for a long time. I absolutely adore these two - the ones on the lower left are from Zara and the right top are Mejuri.

Similar Zara earrings are linked here and Mejuri are here.

Seamless sets

It’s that time of the year when you swap your sweats for the seamless sets. It is the absolute comfy perfection when you spend the day working from the couch, but would also like to workout in the evening (and are too lazy to get changed, haha).

What are you most excited to wear for spring?

Lots of love,

Lena
