Winter skincare is tricky - making your skin glow when all it wants is to be dull is a process. There is no faking a skincare regimen this time of the year - it's all about a proper routine of effective products (that are at the right price). This Sunday, we are dubbing into beauty and I’m sharing my winter favorites.

THE BASICS

Over the last few months my skincare routine has been all about two words: the Ordinary. I’ve been loving this affordable, yet highly effective brand. The first few products I tried are the Squalene Cleanser, the Buffet serum and the Natural Moisturising Factors + HS. I have now ordered 100 ml bottles of both the cleanser and the moistriser - that says it all, doesn't it?

ALPHA-H Liquid Gold has been a part of my skincare routine for a while now - this cult product is a fabulous - it is a gentle exfoliator that makes my skin brighter and clearer.

THE EXTRA HYDRATION

Over the years I have learned that the second the weather starts to cool down my skin needs extra love. The products I'm using for that extra hydration are Hyaluronic Acid by The Ordinary and Glowtown hemp oil by Hendrix.

On those really windy days or if I am spending a lot of time outside I will reapply the hemp oil throughout the day - it gives my skin extra hydration and glow without looking greasy.

THE GLOW

Invisible Tan by Eco Sonya actually feels more like a body moisturizer than a fake tan - it’s not harsh like lots of other body tanners I’ve tried, it smells wonderful and leaves you skin not just looking, but also feeling glowing.

Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster by Clarins is the most ingenious face tanning product I’ve ever come across (even though it is designed for body) - just a few drops in my usual moisturiser gives me a subtle tan, all whilst the skin gets it’s usual moisturising routine.

*Disclaimer - I have sensitive dry skin that is prone to breakouts, so obviously these products have only been trialed on my skin, but have worked for me extremely well.

*Disclaimer N2 - this post is not sponsored by any of the brands mentioned nor are any of the products gifted - this is just what has been working for me.

What are your winter skincare heroes?

Xx
