OnceWas by the Trevi Fountain

Once upon a February on a frosty morning in Rome...

This OnceWas dress is the epitome of the Dolce Vita vibes—the moment I put it on, I knew the Trevi Fountain would be the most perfect location to photograph it in the whole world. Luckily when the dress arrived in the mail I was packing for my trip to Italy, so I brought it along.

Now, this may not be the most practical item of clothing for a wintertime trip to Europe, but if you plan on bringing one evening dress I reckon it should be this one. The dress is absolutely perfect in it’s simplicity for any occasion. Here I paired it with my Poppy Lissiman sunnies and Tony Bianco boots.

This is probably the my favourite editorial I’ve ever shot—a moment that felt too good to be true (and as it turned out it was—the world changed quickly in the weeks following our trip).

It brings me so much joy to see the streets of Italian cities lively again and hope here, in Melbourne, we’ll be able to enjoy our city again soon, too.
