Rethinking Circular Fashion with Populace Threads

You guys know I love pre-loved designer fashion — it‘s a great way to buy pieces that you would not otherwise be able to afford, extend lifespan of items or give the piece that didn’t quite work for you a second life. Well, considering there currently are 6 tonnes of clothing going into landfill every 10 minutes in Australia, it’s time to make a change towards more sustainable fashion habits for any and all purchases — with circular fashion being a great way to do so.
I’m very excited to announce that I am working with Populace Threads, an amazing (and super user friendly) Australian fashion resale platform that is promoting circular fashion consumption — buying, selling and swapping fashion garments.

The idea behind circular fashion is that clothing, shoes and accessories circulate responsibly and effectively in the society for as long as possible in their most valuable form — ie. if a garment didn’t quite work out for you, it can have several other lives in other people‘s wardrobes.
It‘s a wonderful way to be able to change up your look without hurting the environment.
It allows you to clear out your wardrobe without sending clothing to landfill.
You are able to find gorgeous pieces without seriously damaging your bank account balance.
So what does one do on a long weekend when you are not allowed to go on road trips (we currently have a 25 km travel limit in Melbourne)? Well, I am sorting out my wardrobe, clearing out and putting some garments that I no longer wear up for sale and probably doing a little circular shopping of my own.

I have linked my Populace Threads store here, so make sure you check out the website the the pieces I have for sale.
What are you up to this long weekend (if you are in Victoria)? Hope you are having a great one wherever you are.
As always,
Lots of love,
Lena
